I thought I saw picture of a Spyderco knife called the "Mini Police" in one of the forums. With the search feature gone I can't find it again.

What are the specs on this and is it still made or sold? I have been looking for a good keychain knife that looks better than CS Tuff-Lite or Buck Mini-Buck. If the mini police is no longer available I think I'll go with the Tuff-Lite.

And no I don't like the looks of the Cricket, Co-Pilot, Pegasus, Navigator, or Calypso Jr. That doesn't mean I won't buy on later though.

Keychain knife you say? The Ladybug of course!

I believe the "mini- police" refers to the Rookie. It is a smaller knife than the police but with similar construction. Hence, the term "mini- police".

Or we may be talking about the dinky-Police necklace knife, which could be adapted to keychain duty too, though it's a bit nice to be going down in the pocket with the car keys and change.

Whoa!

But $57.00? I could buy 4-5 Mini-Bucks or 2 Tuff-Lites for that much. I think I'll get a Mini-Buck and keep saving for a Sabenza.

I had better not let the wife see that, or she will insist on wearing her Umfaan as a necklace as she had previosly suggested

Ah! But the Mini-Buck is not ATS34 and orange-peel titanium with a silver chain.

Two Ladybugs and a Photon Light are probably more practical than the Mini Police too, but we can't always be purely practical.

I just gave my girlfriend hers after waiting a month to surprise her on her birthday. She loved it, and now I can wear mine, too

These things are awesome, 'specially since I have a Ti Police to match, hehehe. I had no idea what the price would be when I called for them, but $50 each was fine with me. They're probably the only knives I've ever said "I don't care what it costs." Can't comparison-shop on something like this; they're unique, fairly rare, and incredibly cool. I wear it every day and probably enjoy it more than the "real" folder in my pocket.

Edit: I wanted to add that in addition to how much I enjoy mine, the look on my sweetheart's face when she opened hers was worth any price

my keychain choice would be the ladybug in carbon fiber (ats-55). getting a bit harder to find now, but very cool and not terribly expensive.

neat to knife guys, not scary to sheeple, not SO neat your afraid to toss your keys on the table. perfect.
