One of the biggest drawbacks of using the air/hyd jack has been the time it takes to close the valve and grab the air valve to supply air to the jack.
Here's my solution.
I found a solenoid controled valve for an air horn that has 1/4 in npt fittings. I set it up to replace the vavle that comes with the jack.
I made a switch and mounted it on the t handle right where you can depress it with one finger. The solenoid operates off a 12 volt power supply.
I need to insulate the switch from the handle as it will give you a little zap bare handed. Wear gloves
As you close the jack valve for the next press depress the switch and you are pressing. Almost instantly.
Let's hear your thoughts.
Take care
