That's the best looking file I've seen in a long time! I don't know a thing about file steel, how does it hold up as a knife? Tough to put an edge on?

Files are made mostly from 1095 I'm told. Treated to mid 60's rc. I temper 'em down to high 50's (58-59) and then what you have is a blade thats extremely tough but no longer so brittle. I made my first knife in 1984 from an old file, I still have it, holds an edge quite well! Not too hard to sharped also.

I do have a website but I'm a knifemaker not a web page maker so it's a bit less than average... it's 'www.morrisknivesonline.com' ... I need to give it more attention.

Michael, received today and this is one cool little blade. The file hatching gives it a lot of character, and the scales are just about perfect, feels great in hand. Excellent workmanship. Thanks for a quality knife at a fantastic price!
