Well I have owned my Moki knife for about two weeks and I decided to write a review. This is my first review, so if anyone is intersted in certain details about the knife I may leave out in the review please let me know.

The knife came in a little beige box and also a sheath. The sheath and box are well made, although the sheath material looks like it came from some ugly sofa material from the 70's. I would have rather saved a few bucks and not have gotten the sheath. The knife is very well put together and has absolutely no blade-play. The blade is beautiful and has a mirror polish, this does create some problems because every time I open it there are fingerprints on the blade. The jigged bone is flawless and looks very nice on the knife, although I would have liked if they made a knife in sambar stag. The bolsters are a brushed finish and give the knife an almost custom look. I am definately impressed with this knife and look forward to using it. If you are familiar with the Al Mar Osprey's this knife is very similar, although it is larger and has the VG-10 blade.

Thanks, Steve

the Mokis are impressive in fit and finish, sharpness, appearance. What's not to like? Nice review, thanks.

Thanks for the review. Moki is one of the premier makers in the world. Get 'em while you still can. Once the word gets out there's gonna be a waiting list a mile long.

You mentioned stag. Here's a linkto a review of a stag model. Don't know if they're still available however. Rest assured, stag or jigged bone, these knives are works of art. Quite possibly the best kept cutlery secret on the planet.

Moki makes an outstanding knife. I have a cocobolo Glory, and the fit and finish are amazing.

I will have to look into Moki's. Is there a webiste/homepage for Moki?

Their Japanese homepage is here. Some of it is in English but the translation is comical. You can order the knives here.

AG Russell also carries the brand. The Smoky Mountain knife show on Dish 221 Monday and Friday nights has been selling the jigged Moki Ares for around 110 bucks. They are becoming more and more available. Up until a few years ago, Spyderco was the exclusive importer for this brand.
