Mini ritter grip or benchmade HK 14210

I think that the deal is done now,so I'm gonna say "good choice". You seem to be happy with the knife and that's what matters.

FWIW, I have all of the knives mentioned by the OP except the mini-Pika. I really like the 14210 for my uses. I carry and use mine as much as I do my mini-Grip. I agree that the Caly 3 has some advantages in certain areas for me (grippier scales and I love flat ground blades), but that's just my POV and my preference for Spyderco knives.

I think you'll be happy with the H&K. According to STR, it's one of the most complete folders available (lock strength & reliability, blade steel, handle materials & construction). That's high praise IMAO.

Personally I would go with the mini ritter. The blade shape is so nice, like a large regular sebenza and the grip's handle is extremely grippy and comfortable. I have small-medium size hands so I can get a nice 4 finger grip. Great design and the blade is ground nice and high for good slicing. I don't care for the look of the HK's blade at all and the ritter would definitely be lighter without being any weaker.

I have also owned a Caly 3 on two separate occasions and while it is a nice looking knife, the handle is too thin and the choil too shallow to be comfortable and if you get dirt in the pivot area it really messes up the action badly. Another thing is spyderco's g-10 destroys jeans and I am more comfortable sanding down the FRN on the ritter's clip side than I am with working with g-10.

I have 4 of the five knives that you are evaluating. No Pika
14210 is the most solid. I did not like the stock handles - too smooth. Had a set of G10 handles with rougher finish put on. Now it is overall thicker and has a heavier feel.
Mini Grip very nice also. I have the one with Spydie hole 555. Same 154 blade material as the 14210. I wish the handle was a bit longer.
Delica 4 - Fits the hand the best. The most utilitarian of the bunch. VG10 another great steel. Best pocket clip of the bunch.
Caly3 All around great fit and finish but is my least favorite. I tend to use my knives hard and the flat grind is a great slicer but I like a beefer blade.
I would say the the 14210 is my favorite of the bunch. Built like a tank and the axis lock mech is hard to beat.
Hope this helps.
