Mini-Rukus:Love it or hate it?

I have one in my left pocket right now. Outstanding knife...absolute tank. For about 6 weeks I had my spear point nitrous stryker in my pocket, which I modified for left handed carry.

I love mine. It's the only benchmade I've purchased and really I'm having a hard time justifying buying another, this one is everything I want in a knife! :)

Loved the Rukus. Couldn't wait for the mini to come out. Loved it so much, I got the Auto version too. Now I got 3 Ruki.

Cons:
- It doesn't seem as smooth as my other Axis lock knives (710, 551).
- The handle leaves very little room for you ring and pinky finger to avoid getting hit by the closing blade
- The action of the Axis is much longer, so it takes longer to open and close it quickly.

Interesting. Mine is everybit as smooth as any other BM I own and twice as smooth as my cousins griptian, maybe try taking it apart and cleaning it. The longer action of the axis lock on this knife is one of my favorite features, to me it seems to get a little more of the locking bar behind the lock for a more secure lock up, again, one of my favorite featues. I can't understand what you mean about the little room thing, I have flicked mine open and shut about 50 times now and am completely perplexed:confused: almost as confusing as it taking longer to open and close...both are done instantly with a flick of the wrist...I think the greatest thing this exemplifies is the wide diversity of opinions on BF that what makes BF so awesome!! I just wish everybody respected and appreciated this :)

My Mini-Rukus is glass smooth also. From the grip comfort standpoint it fits my hand but I may pick up another set of scales to work on to round off the edges. Great overall knife though. Cuts well, great lock, and rides low in the pocket.

Actually, the Axis on the Rukus has the least amount of "lockup" so to speak. My 551 and 710 have more of the bar engaged on the tang than the Rukus does.

this is not the case with my 615 or 610 as compared to my 710 or my cousins griptilian...the 615 did have to break in alittle but what I said remains true in my experience, obviously yours is different.
