Mini SERE 2000 this year

Ted

Are you saying that the clip position on the Mini is not as low a profile carry in the pocket, as the full size SERE is?

I'm buying the Mini!

It fits me perfectly: for pocket carry

I recently bought the SLB SERE....which is a very strange little knife that may never see "the light of day". Personally, I would need to access the use of a knife in less time than would be required for this SLB miniture.

The Mini Al Mar fits the bill.

Actually fulloflead was my very first introduction to the Al Mar knife market: in a funny kind of way.

And to this date: in my novice world of knives, (after reading a gazillion threads on most of the brands) the Sere Al Mar wins the day.....at least for me.

I was wondering why the mini cost more than the Shrike. The Shrike has a different clip position.

I want one, but at only about $100.

It's the same as the big Sere. Difference with the Shrike is that the clip is screwed into the liners. For the Sere's it's screwed in the backspacer.
