Mini skirmish versus buck mayo tnt

Sounds like I'd better start saving....so many knives on the list!

Say, does the BOS heat treat make that big of a diff?

I own the mini-skirmish only and can says its a great knife. I have had it for a while and been carrying it all the time and have not had any trouble with the lock bar at all. I haven't pushed the knife to hard but i have not found one flaw with it yet. The blade to handle ratio is the perfect size and love the way the blade just swings in and out of the handle so easily. cant go wrong with the mini and im sure you cant go wrong with the TNT either so buy both...NOW! :D

I have had both. I still have the TNT.

Same here!

Art, here's a big secret....Bos does most of, if not all of, the heat treatment for Buck Knives. I worked there 7 years ago, when they were in El Cajon, CA, and his shop was right next door.

Paul has large batch heat treatment down to a total science, and he guarantees that you will not get a warped blade back from him, AND he has access to the metallurgists creating and working with the steels he is treating, but he is no wizard.

In other words, I am fairly sure that there are a number of qualified heat treaters out there that can do just as good a job.
