If this thread has been hacked to death in the past please forgive me. I have a mini skirmish and it has been bulletproof, but, lately there hase been some news about blades not fitting in the handle right...pivot pin getting all messed up...thats even on a brand new one, so, Im wondering who all has had problems as if to question how durable my MS is really going to be...i'll tell you it has been a fantastic knife and I know there are mini skirmish owners out there that have had good luck....any reports yall....thanks/paul

Mine hit the spacers and dinged the blade. It came this way from the factory and is now in the warranty dept. I believe it will be fine once I get it back. Most of the problems I have read about were problems from the factory not anything to do with durability.

Ive had my for about 6 months and I havent had one problem with it. Its probably got the first or second amount of carry time of all my knives (and thats alot) without one problem.

I got mine earlier this week and it is perfect, except that the blade does not center when closed. But the blade centered when closed has never been a big deal fo rme as long as it locks up well and performs when open.

This doesnt really answer the original question, so forgive the digression.

I just got mine in the mail today, so I'm clearly still in the infatuation stage.

The thing I can't get over about this knife is the fact that closed it's only VERY SLIGHTLY larger than my Spyderco Delica. The open blade however is just about as large as the blade on my CRKT M16-14M "Big Dog", which is a huge folder.

I'm looking at it and I still just can't quite grasp how this small handle swallows up all of this large blade when closed. I wouldn't have believed you could make a knife about the size of a Delica when closed and have as much blade as a "Big Dog" when open.

I wish I had pics to post since it's the visual comparison that is really amazing.

Forgive me, I've only had it a few hours and I'm still in the "I think I've found the perfect knife" phase, which we all know fades quickly.

BTW, mine doesn't center perfectly in the closed position either. I don't really care though since there's no rub on the handle, and otherwise it seems perfect.

All I can really say about this knife at this point is that it makes a great first impression.

That is most likely because the frame lock pushes against the blade from the side when it is closed. Mine is the same way and its not a defect, its a attribute the some frame locks have. :p

Mine came out of the box with the same problem. The blade would scrape the side of the handle when closing and the edge would hit the spacer and chip. :jerkit: So it's back to the dealer for an exchange.
