I think it could also me called a shorter Short Tibetan? :pThe curve of the tip seems to have a great similarity to the Short Tibetan more than the Tarwar?:confused:

Whatever the case, it is a very appealing sword. I do hope more of these get made, I would certainly be trying to buy one. :cool: :thumbup:
 
Short Tibetans seem to have two variants, one that's shaped like a very long dirk (the more traditional blade shape), and one that's like a giant Uddha.

So, Abaniko, is that mini-Tarwar double edged, as it appears to be?

No, it is not double edged, it doesn't even have a false edge. It has a lovely subtle taper that is really easy to mistake as one. I shall post a close up sometime today as duties permit :)

Now THAT is a fine piece of worked steel! Why in the world would someone pay MORE for a production knife with no character?
