I always wanted a mini pry bar and was just about to order one today when I thought, what would make it unique? TITANIUM!! So--- I contacted STR. He's on it right now. It's the little things.

Titanium is anything but brittle my friend. In fact its actually quite tough and durable and would be less likely to give you trouble that way. Thats why Mission likes them for their dive knives. Its an excellent material for pry bars because its so tough.
Edit: I should add that I do know how you probably figured it was brittle. If over heat treated to above a 54 Rockwell I've been told this grade and other grades of the alloy can be brittle but as it comes from Halpern or Chuck Bybee this stuff is pretty darn durable. Beta Titanium and another type which I forget at present can get harder and still remain tough but I hear they are nightmarish grinding materials and that they go through some belts so I doubt it would be too enjoyable to work. Just grinding this 6 Al-4V that I have and the sparks it puts off when it comes in contact with the grinding belts and band saw blades are bad enough. Ti sparks to high heavens when you work and bead blast it. I've actually caught saw dust on fire because I neglected to remove it from my band saw before cutting it.
