Minimalist signaling kit for the kids

Here's a pic of one borrowed very respectfully from the recent whistle tests mentioned on this here forum.

How many folks make their kids wear dog tags with name and mom or dad's cell number, just in case kids can't talk or tell who they are.

That's another good idea. I'll have to look into that. We put tags on our dog with our info, why not our kids. OF course we have been teaching our daughter to say our names, address and phone number. Also been working with her about not hiding from police or firefighters and such. Tags would make it much easier.

Tags like that would be great to attach to their packs as well. Holds up real well.

You can find a tag maker machine in some walmarts or malls. You can put whatever info you want on it and it's $5, chain extra. We made one for our grandson with new updated cell numbers on our last vacation in CO Springs, got it at walmart.
When my kids were little (30 years ago) I got them real GI tags, made them wear one with a orange British lifeboat whistle.
