That's where I was with modern knives. I have grown to like the small knives and I want to try out a couple modern knives with ~2.5" blades to compare with my SAK experience.

Have you tried out any of Fallkniven’s little folders? I have a U2 I can send your way if you wanna give it a try

Lee D Lee D That is one I want to look at. I'll just buy one but thanks for the offer. That is very generous.
No problem, it’s a great little knife that compliments a Vic well. Lightweight, great steel, and as people say, “it punches above it’s weight class”

You have to eat them to know! ;)
I'm full of enough hot air without adding musical fruit to the menu while driving. :D

Added: Lee D Lee D Already looking at the U2 and perhaps the little Native. The U2 is pretty traditional. You have given me the "itch" again. Even @Hickory n steel might like it. Wish it came handles other than zytel. I know I have some old Schrade lock backs that would work too.

I wasn’t overly dazzled by the zytel when I first held the U2 in my hand (“I paid $80 for this?), but that 1.5oz weight is so nice in a pair of shorts

There's the TK series, and the U1c slipjoint, but the price jumps a wee bit.

Yeah. The U1 too if I want to spend the money. On the other side of the coin, I'm looking at small Arno Bernard fixed blades. I generally have ignored the itch for nearly 6 months.
