I don't think there would be a problem, it's not like a Brass knuckle knife or an Automatic or anything. Any of my brother Canucks want to chime in please?

no problems with knives like this at all going to canada

I heard you have to pay ridiculously at customs to get it accross, something like $140!!!!
tht's insane! I dont understand why custom charges you if the product was made in the US? Dont we have a free trade agreement between canada and the US?!!!

If he marks it as a gift customs wont charge.

You are misinformed!
You only pay GST and PST against the claimed value when it crosses the border. Just like you would if you bought it at walmart.
Sometimes you get a $5.00 handling fee from customs. The odd time my knives come through with out any taxes due for some reason. Just luck of the draw.
Im happy to pay my taxes so that my knives are insured for the full value.
It is no problem shipping to Canada. I have never had one issue ever.
The only thing I have ever lost is an Anvil I bought from Saskatchewan...damn farmers. :D
