We were talking on another forum about this carving fork and knife set which just sold for just over $6000 on eBay.

The documentation, the photos, and the seller all appear to be legit. At least I believe so. But I am not bidding. I will say that this is a textbook example of how well you SHOULD list an item for coverage, if you have an item that is valuable. This seller commanded top dollar. (Read the Q&A's below the item.)

That said, this next item is a real eye-grabber: Gift knife.

Rarely do items of this apparent quality ever surface. Look at the sellers other auctions, especially the kitchen knife.

Of particular interest is the seller's claim to have, possibly, the only photo of Wm. Scagel ever produced. And the story is riveting. Auction on THAT to follow.

I have NO affiliation with the seller to drive up the cost. But I think this type of auction is of interest to the knife world. That would be us.

I agree Coop I found this guys auctions to be fasinating. In fact I added him to my Favorites because I want to see his other auctions as they come up. Not because I'm going to be bidding on them, just for general interest.
