I finally got around to trying some Minwax wood hardner in my stabilizer. Seems to work ok but It starts to boil off and contaminate my vacuum pump oil at about 20"hg. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks
Leonard

First of all 20 inches of hg should be enough to stabilize your wood...Try running cycles of vac/pressure or air to ensure penetration...

Second, use a overflow jar between your pump and chamber...This will catch the overflow and keep it from your pump...

Just some ideas...

Your chamber is to full. I use a 2 quart mason jar and take a ball of screen as wide as the jar mouth to hold the wood under the surface. Always keep your hose higher than the chamber.
Works for me

Thanks, I've never used less than 25" so I wasn't sure how it would come out. I've got a burp bottle but the vapors went right through it. I finally rigged the burp bottle like an oil bath air filter, oil in the bottom and steelwool between the oil and the outlet. Seems to have worked much better.
Thanks Again,
Leonard
