Congrats to my bro David M on more then just the sword award but on really starting to find his voice in this knife game David is a winner and truly loved by his friends. Hanging out with this crew was one of the highlights of my show to many laughs to count.

Wow! I just checked this thread out for the first time since leaving Atlanta. All I can say is thank you to all that have taken the time to post comments on this thread.
I still am in disbelief that i won this award. The swords that were in that room were almost made me think twice about entering.... But I am glad that I did. :)
There have been many adjectives here describing me, it makes me question if you are actually talking about me... Especially my dear friend who I am proud to call "Pappy"...
But sweet and gentle have never been used in any context connected to me. But I will certainly do my best to make you proud Paul. To my room mates and good friends
Matt, Joe and STeven, you know how much i appreciate all that you do. David S. good to see you again, your knives just get better and better. Its hard to believe you are a new maker.
that award was well deserved, and in the world of Loveless style makers, I see you rising to the top. Dave L., it was great spending time with you over the weekend. The talent that you have working steel is phenomenal.
There are so many people that I's like to address, but I'll just say thank you to all. After I take a couple weeks to visit family and friends, I will be headed back to Alaska to get back to work.
Oh, by the way.... Jason, you've got me down pat. "Cherry Hanzo" Ha! I'll bet your thinking "I don't do cherries" But I do...... Just not on my ice cream!
 
That wakizashi is insanely fast - a formidable weapon and a true work of art in and of itself. It was great to meet you and congratulate you in person. Hope to see you again next year!
