Hey Hogs,

This thing is mean and vicious ---- I love it!! It was a pleasure to sharpen this small knife instead of the beastly NMFBM. I ended up reprofiling this edge to 15 degrees per side (30 degrees inclusive). It can cut! Just thought I'd share this wicked thaaaang

I need to practice. I got the Ken Onion edition which I think is what you got, but I am no where near this level. I am not even out of the starting gate compared to this.

That is beautiful! I'm gonna go for 17-18 per side on the KME I think but I'll stop at 1500.

Nice. Are those flat or hollow?

Very nice,, slicey

Great job looks very nice!

Sweet! that's a SICK SYCKO SKINNER!

Thanks guys! This edge is clean and as an apex thickness of .5 Microns. It's a V edge and it blends well into the secondary grind. I'm curious to see how the 15 degree edge holds up. I just know that for a 3/16ths thick knife --- it's slicey;)

Have you considered going to 8-10° per side with a 15° per side microbevel?

Even if not, excellent work as always.

Nice sharpening job to be certain. I actually like this little skinner a bunch. It feels good in the mit and could double as an EDC. Very positive grip, super strong blade that keeps a good edge. I would suggest you put one in your survival kit, not to mention taking it on your next hunting excursion.

Hmmm ---- that sounds EXTREMELY slicey --- I may try that on one of my other blades to see how it turns out.

Thanks man! This Skinner is definitely going to be an EDC knife, Surivival kit blade, and any potential excursion.

Wonderful! I wish I'd've gotten in on one of these.

Thanks brother --- if you find one on the exchange --- I'd say jump on it. It feels so good in the hand --- it's specs and design make for a great blade.

What did you use to do this?

Diamond Stones: 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000
Ceramic Stones: 1200, 1600, 1.4 micron, .6 micron
Balsa Wood Strops: 5 micron, 3.5 micron, 1 micron, .5 micron
