Haha that's about the best compliment because this one started out as a beadblasted blade! It'll have the spider web scales, so a bit different than the one you are thinking of.

Just curious. Why is slippery an issue?

I never touch my leek's blade accept on the spine to close it.

He might be talking about the 1660SS...the Leek that had a highly polished blade and handle.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I havnt figured out how to get around the thumbstud. Not sure if it screws off or not.

I'm pretty sure they're machine pressed into the blade.
