Mirror polished my Packrat whatcha think?

Looks good. How'd you do it?
Thanks everyone. It took a lot of sanding haha. I am still trying to figure out how to get around the thumbstud, I didn't mess with the pivot area because I didn't want to thin it out or something, plus it would look like crap after opening it a few times.

Thanks man. I have done another knife since and am prepping to do another. Thought about buying a service membership and offering it if there was interest enough.

How did you get it to that mirror finish? I have a storm that I've sanded down to a 2500 grit sandpaper, but it still isn't perfectly reflective. I assume metal polish?

What if I did a tutorial video? I could do a step by step process or something? Its not super complicated but the tools I use make it nice.

that's cool. I use my stuff too hard to maintain anything like that. than again I could always do it to something I don't carry much for a "Sunday" knife...

ya know what steel. now that I think about it I'd really love to see a vid or at least get more detailed instructions on how to go about that. I bought a CRKT ripple the other day and I don't like it as much as I thought I would so it won't be my EDC but it's a very nice looking knife and I thought after seeing yours that if I polished the blade and pocket clip and maybe the screw heads and liners it would be a good knife for fancy occasions when I have to get all dudded up. then I wouldn't the looks and comments like when I pull a 4 inch "tactical" folder out of my tux. I took some flak at first but later when the bride's bouquet started wilting and I zipped the top off a bottle of water to put the flowers in, suddenly I wasn't so weird.

I gave it a shot last night. I did 600, 800, 1000, 2000 grit sandpaper and then a polishing compound. It's better than it was but nowhere close to yours. I only spent about 20 minutes on it though so maybe it just needs more time.
