i will be in the area but coming in on the freeway from idaho, oregon side of the river.
will it hard? i mean hard to find from that side and the interstate?

Simplicity itself; take Exit 44 off I-84, that will dump you into Cascade Locks.
At the west end of town the Bridge of the Gods ($1 toll) crosses the Columbia River to Hwy 14 in Washington, turn Right and head east through Stevenson - Troy's directions will take you from there...!
