misen

Tim,which website turned you down? It would be good to have a list of such sites so we don't waste our time with folks like that because ultimately, what we are selling is our time and best efforts and those are better spent making nice stuff for people who need it.
all very interesting, considering i had a project denied because it was a knife. (weapon) even though i explicitly stated it was for culinary use. I was just experimenting using that platform to keep track of group buy/builds. Turns out its a heck of a lot easier just using your own forum.

Kickstarter. Its ridiculous that they denied me but allow something like misen. I appealed the decision and did get a thorough and polite response. Basically giving me a couple tips and that they would take another look, but it had already become too troublesome for a 10 person group buy/build so i never re submitted the project.

Perhaps your presentation wasn't sufficiently douchetastic? Next time, get the cool pro made video and talk about how you consulted "industrial design and food industry professionals" with no mention of silly antisocial types like knife makers. That way they wont' assume you are some Montana prepper who needs to sell some knives so that you can buy more ammo. But seriously, there is no telling with some folks. :D

Another Kickstarter knife project has popped up. This one is selling a damascus clad knife made of "premium GERMAN VG10 steel" that had the tang and bolster welded onto the blade bank. Oh, the humanity!!!!:D
