Eliot, i second that: Good to see you back here. And what a nice knife this is. I love the idea of joining an old saw blade with fancy Pearl.
Now that you've had the chance to work with it, how do you rate this steel ? Expect performance similar to 1084 (which is similar to the better known 1095) ?

Thank you Roland,I don't know much about this steel
I have not had enough time with it to give you an honest
answer,I would assume it is a pretty tough steel given that
it is used on such a large saw blade.It should perform
well on this small knife.
