Mismarked Bugout 535GRY-1?

Have a CF/20CV from the custom shop, getting ready to order either an M4 blade with the stock scales and picking up some OD Green AWT scales or the S90V and AWT Sniper Grey scales, like both and haven't decided yet. Do you have any pics of your blade I'm assuming it's the same color texture as the M4 bailout?
No the bailout is textured like the SMKW version. The M4 version from the custom shop has a smooth coating similar to Spyderco PVD.

I had emailed BM on the color and they said it was more of a dark grey so I assumed similar to the Bailout, can't tell when building out the knife on BM's site. Like the Rock Scale Critter's too, appreciate the pic gives me more to think about.

It looks legitimate to me, but it's not from SMKW. Their scales are G10, not Grivory, and the blade marking is CPM-M4 in front of the stud, not behind it. I wonder if it's a dealer exclusive or a blade swap with a custom shop Bugout. I think I have seen a dealer exclusive in Grivory and M4 but I can't remember where. Anyway, it's not the knife listed on the box. That one calls for an S30V blade. Looks like it's all Benchmade, though. Personally, I'd be happy with it. I like M4.

Benchmade confirmed the mistake on their side, putting a wrong blade on the knife.

I didn't find anything to better understand this...

Cheers

I have an M4 Bugout from SMKW. I checked mine and noticed that the steel marking is placed in front of the thumb stud and reads CPM-M4. The pic in your post shows the blade marked M4 and placed behind the stud. This was simply to say that it isn't the SMKW M4 Bugout.

I think Benchmade has given you the answer you were looking for.

Thanks!
Can you show us some pictures for comparison, please?

I think you must have looked at the wrong pic. The OP's pic shows "CPM-M4" to the right of the stud just like the SMKW. There's not really enough room on a Bugout to stamp left of the stud. But yeah it's definitely not G10 like the SMKW version.

You're right! Good catch. I did look at them before I answered him, so I don't know where I got the idea that the M4 was on the left side of the stud. The blade looks just like mine except that mine has a black coating & studs instead of grey. Here's the pix the OP requested...
