I’ve settled into a perfect selection of EDC choices for a retired handy guy. I was maneuvering to purchase a very special Herman I saw on their website yesterday and todayfind it was sold yesterday. Lesson: hesitation can mean a near miss of something rare and desirable. My bad timing. So my plan is sell a guitar then be ready to pull the trigger the moment I find the right Herman.

Wow those are nice ones very sharp! How much were they asking for it? Lol I believe you've caught the bug hanging around here too long. I know Ive spent a small fortune since I've came across this page a few years ago. I used to be just satisfied with my good ol Kershaw for many a years. Im already too far into the dark side hahaha. I'm waiting on my grail to arrive it should be here today hopefully. A Hinderer Jurassic Battlefield Pick Up.. Good luck with your hunt that's half the fun I suppose lol.

It was $2700 and I am a bit crushed. My only saving grace is maybe a full size Sting would be a better fit or maybe another model. Thing is, this is an extra special great fit for me. I’m going to need more than one Herman knife.

I'm desperate for a Herman Micro-sting, dressed.
You must be following their videos as I am. The cinematography alone, showcases their spectacular execution of every aspect of creating a piece of knife art. I just missed the recent Micro Sting offering by hours.
PS Sale of guitar still pending 🙏 So you get first dibs on the next one 😇😉👍

Metal Complex on YT has a Herman that’s very similar, it might be a bigger model tho, I’m not sure. He loves it, but damn that is a LOT of money for a knife.
I know, that sounds crazy to hear on bladeforums, but you could get pretty much anything for that $$$, like a full custom, a Custom division Shirogorov, or even a Hinderer Card Series special edition.
My most expensive knife is “only” about 1/3 the price of this Herman however, so I’ve never had the opportunity to even consider a knife in that price range.
ETA- Screebo Screebo
I agree with what you said above, their “regular” knives look better (just my opinion), and are probably half the price.

Tony, we usually think alike. I hear ya. Still, at least I’m off Rockstead for now!

Rocksteads are beautiful too (and unmatched cutting performance I hear), but they have that weird registration thing. If you buy one used, and it’s been registered, you have no warranty, so their resale value may not be as good as other knives.

Doing my best to not fall spinning down that lovely rabbit hole as I pull on my brakes and deploy the chutes…….
besides, just bought a limited run Delica in CPM 20CV from a fellow BF regular. It’s perfect and that back lock is “interesting”. Lol! I must say that the blade is stupendous! Best darn knife deal in 3 weeks! Bless you Mike!

Great, saw this and ended up ordering a Micro-sting (not full dress). looking forward to the dhl guy in a few days.

Congratulations! I’m having a hard time being patient. Please share your thoughts once you get familiar with it! 👍 Lately, I see a lovely “standard” Sting in blue machined scales under $800 and very, very tempting. These are precious and very limited production knives.
