I didn't finish in time, but I got it done now.

Hitachi Blue #2, Rc64, 260mm, 0.005" behind the edge, 10dps.

Handle is black and white ebony that I have been drying for 7 years. Bolster is gaboon ebony.

There is a hamon, but the carbide banding washes it out a bit.

That would be a great idea, but I gave it to a friend as a housewarming gift on Saturday. Thanks for the offer though. I wish I had better pics than the cell phone pics. The banding in the steel looks almost like wootz. It's got a full distal taper. I as really happy with this one, except the curve at the heel looks a little off to me.

Fish, that's a great knife. I'll probably do a kitchen knife for the Christmas kith this year. I'm looking forward to that now. You are done if you hang on to that one.
