Missing date code

I just got a 503 Prince. The blade is marked "BUCK", "503" and "U.S.A." in three lines. There is no date code however. It is a brand new knife so I assume it was recently made, probably 2008. Any ideas?

Sometime around the first of the year, some Bucks got made without a date code mark.

I personally have 2 110's without one and there have been 112's seen also.

Both of the boxes for my 110's have manufacture dates in January of 2008.

i had a 110 with out and now i have two 111's with out!
the 110's are harder to find..
this the first i heard of others !
