the other day I went to mission peak for a quick hike after work. the peak trail is only about a half mile from where I work, so it made it easy to do with little light left in the day.
at 2,517 ft. it was a tough short hike but fun none the less.

this picture was taken on another time that I hiked mission peak. I love this picture though. I just wanted to share the peak monument. it has pipes through the monument and it points to different parts of the bay area.

and here is a little guy who was following me down the trail.

Nice pic of that calf, lol!
Mission Peak is a fun, short but tough hike. It's usually REALLY windy if you get to the top though.

Nice pics they bring back memories. I grew up in fremont and have hiked/biked there many times. I used to do my training rides up mill creek road and always got nervous biking through a heard of cattle near the top. It's a nice place to get away when you can't really get away.

Used to go hiking up there every other weekend with my dogs when I lived in Fremont, but hated prying the ticks off of 'em after wards. Nasty Lyme disease carriers! My border collie also had a habit of rolling in the cow manure everywhere -but she stopped after I started dunking her in the horse troughs.

Beautiful place, great way to 'escape' from the grind of Silicon Valley.
