can you still buy cgfbm through the busse shop?

Actual combat grade with corrugated bevels? No. But I think there were one or two at Knob Creek in the spring. If you mean a combat grade fusion battle mistress, the answer is still no, but you can luck out and find them at shows sometimes.

And Mistress content

She's a lonely girl in that pic, but she does have friends :D

Never hurts to call Busse and inquire about the possibility of ordering one through the Custom Shop. They might have a few left from shows past... The worst you'll hear is "no", right? ;)

Speaking of shows past, the Great Easton Trunk Show II had quite a selection last December...

And this lovely Tanker Grey CGFBM with hand shaped black/yellow micarta handles is from a small batch that was at the A G Russell Show 2010...One of my favorites (with many thanxx to my proxy for the hook up!):

The original run is long done, but they still occasionally pop up at shows...however, combos are now limited to what the Shop decides to release.

Jaxx, is black/yellow the official title for those scales? Never heard of that combo. Ive got a blade that I think has the same scales and could never figure it out, was thinking some sort of tigerhide  Eitherway they rock

Official?? Um, no...and after staring at mine for about ten minutes, I R cornfuzed.:D Looks like black/yellow linen in some light, and more greenish/yellow in other light. Perhaps snwbrdr202 is right. Maybe it is GL, but wasn't quite "right" compared to other sheets of GL or maybe it's Tigerhide that again wasn't up to color as actual "Tigerhide" (as I have a couple NMFBMLE's that have way more black than orange but the orange in them is still orange)... but whatever it is, this micarta looks great. Definitely linen micarta and IIRC, that's what I was told. But, I can't remember who told me now...whether it was Garth or my proxy at the Show. Guess Garth will have to weigh in and let us know... I hope to see more of it. :)

My pic was an inside shot with incandescent lighting + flash and has that GL look... yours looks like the light used was much whiter... Natural light or lightbox? ...And has that black/yellow linen micarta look. Definitely the same stuff, but like I said... ;) I R cornfuzed now! :D

BTW, nice NMFBM. :)

I'll stick with the whatever flavor they are bad azz!:thumbup::thumbup:
I have got to get something over .274. That is the thickest I have.

On the subject of handle colors- what's this one called??
(courtesy of trailwolf:D love it man lol)

I'm surprised no ones has answered this yet. The scales are called snakeskin. Pretty hard to come by now, and the only new knives that have snakeskin now are custom shop pieces.

Here's an explanation that's on Busse's website:

"The Elusive Snakeskin
The Snakeskin micarta handles were discovered accidentally and cannot be duplicated. Not only have we tried to duplicate this unusual layered look with several different manufacturers who claimed that duplication would not be a problem, but several other knife manufacturers have tried quite unsuccessfully to duplicate it as well. Once our supply is used up, the Busse Combat original Snake Skin micarta will not be an available again"

Ok that's what I thought but I was confuzzled for some reason
