Mjolnir for Christmas: One Helluva Deadline

I have leather on the way.
Plan from here:
Black out Odin's right eye.
Patina the metal.
Light sand the handle and do one more coat of polyurethane, let dry about 36 hours and do a real light sand w. 400 grit to make the handle grippy.
Leather wrap on the handle, up by the head.
Leather belt loop for carrying.

Call him Thor and you're good to go!

If you do an image search for Mjolnir you often see an upside-down Odin on the head. I think that's so when you lay the hammer down on the ground with the handle up, then Odin is right-side-up.
I'll just etch a little more and take out the eye, no biggie, I already coated the area again with nail lacquer.

And thanks to you all for all your encouragement.

Here's a pic with the belt loop. I'm a total beginner with the leather work, but it should hold well, all saddle stitched, none of that sewing awl crap here.
Did not use dye, kept it natural but darkened it with a good coat of Snow-Proof.

Now to add the neck guard/fist grip.

Thanks so much to everyone who advised along the way.
I'm ready to call it: DONE! Not touching a thing, boxing it and sending it.
