Here is another military kukri Ive had in my collection. It is an ORDEP NEPAL marked MK V marked as made in 87. This is close to the current issued kukri for the Gurkhas today. The ORDEP NEPAL means it was made on base in Dahran Nepal by a military commissioned kami. I've seen several variations as to the overall setup of the rig but most are pretty similar. This is what they call a field issue blade, rough finish on the blade steel and plain leather scabbard. The highly polished blades and patent leather scabbards are called dress or parade knives.

Handle Buffalo Horn Brass accents
Total length 14"
Blade length 10"
Weight 14.55 oz (fighting weight)
Has chakmak and karda

Overall in very good condition bus as with any hand made kukri there are small blemishes here and there. Blade is in great shape, no dents, rolls or chips. Handle is great no cracks or chips. Scabbard has great retention but could use some saddle soap and mink oil.

$120 shipped lower 48 obo
