Hi all,
I know I will regret this, since it took so long to track down another MkII Sub dial, but I would like to sell this Submariner homage that I just finished building. This is a rare and unique piece as Bill is no longer selling parts and they are very hard to come by.
This project is of my own creation and pays homage to several vintage Submariner models:
Bezel insert and white seconds hand from 6538 (1958)
Crown guards and matte dial from 5512 (1967)
Date complication from 1680 (1969)
120-click, uni-directional bezel from 16800 (1978)
The watch is in overall excellent condition with only a few signs of being worn by me. There is a small mark on the bezel insert that is very hard to see between the 55 minute hash mark and the red triangle, but it can only be seen at just the right angle.
The genuine ETA 2824-2 movement is running strong and keeping good time at about +2-3 seconds/day. It winds and sets very smoothly and the crown screws down with 5 full turns.
The lume on both the dial and hands is Super Luminova C1 and glows brightly and lasts long.
Features and specifications:
I will include the strap that is pictured, which is a Horween Chromexcel stop from BandR Bands and a set of shoulder less springbars.
Price:$425 OBRO SOLD which includes US-50 Priority shipping and PayPal fees. I am not interested in trades or international sales. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Matthew
