I just said that Attila was out of stock this morning (GMT +8).:o
Some people asked me about this knife, so I called my dealers in Taiwan this afternoon. They have still some Attilas in stock.
And my friend told me that taking Attila as my touchstone to the knife-world in BladeForums should help my business spread faster.
So I decided to have a close out sale for Attila.
These Attilas are already finished, so it’s not easy to do some changes (ex. changing handle material).
I still provide life-time warranty for them. If you need maintenance, it’s free, just send the knife to Taiwan and I’ll cover the international postage back to you.
I’ll finish those 12” knives in July. But their price would up to ~ $400 USD.

The knife is beautiful the the price is more than reasonable. The only regrettable detail is that I don't have the funds to purchase one right now.

For something that size with that sort of craftsmanship, that's a STEAL. How many do you have? Just the one?

Maybe somebody can clarify - is this forum reserved for:

"A place for custom makers and bladesmith's ..."

These knives appear to be essentiually production knives. Are they appropriate for this forum?

Sorry if I'm meddling in somebody else's business, but as a collector I think it's important to know what you're getting.

If you click on the link in mkk_tw's signature you'll be directed to his homepage. Here's a quote from his webpage:

"All Master King knives are handmade.
I spent much time in each knife. These works are not done by a single CNC-button.
And each sheath for the knife is custom made.
I have experiences in knives-making more than twenty years"

I don't know mkk_tw in person and have never done business with him. I just thought this information could probably help clarify some things.

Cheers!:)

I agree. It is not unusual for knifemakers to make multiple versions of the same knife.

First, I thought he was buying them and reselling (maybe after tweaking a bit), then I looked closer and it looks like these are a standard model/style for him and he called those he had at dealers back to his shop to sell out here.

VERY nice looking design. They look like they'd be a nice all-purpose camp or kitchen knife!

Beautiful filework and detail!

Looking at the website, this does NOT look like a one-man operation. Been wrong before, but he uses an awful lot of 'we' in his writing as well.

i agree looking at the website these are obviously made in bulk by makers and not just one man , although they still would be semi custom and really depends on the folks who liek the blades for the price to decide if they want the blade which may be mass produced. i do think due to the website and pictures of several chairs in a row and belt sanders etc that the knives should prolly be in the production forum instead of of custom. that is just my opinion.

Hmm~~~ there are three people in my shop. But I'm the only one knifemaker.
The other makes sheaths for knives and she doesn't want to be showed in the internet.
And still the other is my wife who makes sheaths ,too.
My website was created by my friend, Cedric (Shin_jyue in bladeforums) , and the photos were taken by him.

Let me try to explain how my shop work.
I design the knives and buy steel sheets.
And send sheets to subcontractor for laser-cutting the outline.
And I ground them into knives. There is no CNC-machine nor mold in my shop. I don't have enough money nor computer-knowledge to have a CNC-machine.:o
So if you want a knife with smaller edge angle or smaller primary angle, or extra file-work. I can do it for you.
After grinding , knives will be sent to other subcontractor for being electroplated, like my Radiance Dagger. After that comes handle-making and sheath-making.
As my webpage said, I worked in an OEM-factory for a long time. And I need the subcontractors for laser cutting and electroplating , so I used to make 60~100 knives of one model.
The subcontractors are not willing to accept small order. :o

And there are 5 Attila's in my dealer's store.

if there are any left, i would like an attila. looks like a nice chopper! email sent.

I just got my Attila today. It is very nice. The transaction was easy and quick delivery also. I would have been satisfied had this knife cost hundreds more, at $250( plus $30 in transaction fees ) this was a bargain. Check out his website and look at the other knives he has too. Thanks Jensen good luck, cant wait to see if those titanium choppers in your video go into production:D

Hi John,
Thanks for the kind words.
It's good to heard this.:D

Did the transaction fee cost 30 USD ?? Wow, they told me that WU fee is only 2%. :o

And I still have two Attila's in stock.

just wanted to chime in as well... i ordered one of these knives not knowing if it would even arrive from taiwan... and to my surprise - its already in my hand. thank you Jenson, for the nice knife and even nicer service!
