MM tip up? and darker clip?

I'm glad everyone has been pleased with my work. :)

I am a little concerned about VOODOO CHILD'S Maxx....I haven't heard anything yet. I hope there were no issues with customs up North.

That was my AfterMath at the Koval show. The skateboard tape does the trick very well!

Tip up or tip down? That is the question! Either way, just remember you have a big freakin' sharp thing in your pocket!

Okay... I got the knife from Dirk (who did a great job with it) yesterday morning. I must have waved it open about 100 times since then. Not once was I even close to injuring myself.

My new tip up Cuda Maxx is the perfect PC EDC in my opinion.

I'm de-lurking to admit that I thought FullerH was being an alarmist untill I sliced my hand open while carrying my Maxx tip-up loose in my pocket. Still not sure exactly how it happened but the trip to the emergency room and aftermath were no small thing. We are all adults here and can make our own decisions, but if you chose to go tip-up with this knife exercise extreme caution, I wish I had.:(

Welcome to the forums shadowjack. You probably opened it with your palm in the path that the blade was travelling. The tip probably sliced you open.

Dirk did a beautiful job converting my Maxx Bowie and my Mini-Maxx for tip-up carry. I sent my new Maxx Stiletto off for conversion as soon as I got the first two back.

I understand the risks of tip-up carry, which is why I always carry them clipped up against my pocket seam. There shouldn't be any way for the knife to open in my pocket. Even when I carry on the left side for a reverse draw I keep it against the blade-side seam.

Being able to "wave" a Maxx open is very cool! Even so, most of the time I avoid catching it on the pocket and thumb it open. I still feel much better with the tip-up draw. Everyone seems to have a natural preference, one way or the other, and that's mine. :)

Dirk: Thanks for making my favorite folders even more comfortable!
