Damn, that looks like a fine bottle of bourbon (oh, and sweet knife too). Reminds me that I need to stock my bar soon.
 
thanks for posting the bottle of bookers thats the first thing im getting when i can drink again (stomach problem dang doctors what do that know ?) that and a good cigar ! im thinking a padron 1964 anniversery or better yet the 1924 verison! but im open to any suggestions have a good one !

+++++++++++++++++++100 for the Bookers! I was introduced to this by a Rusian bartender. It kept sounding like she was saying would I like some "Boogers"....well I had to try it. I will say 128 proof and extremely sharp objects makes for one bad combo...
 
Good stuff. I have yet personally to find a bourbon that was better with ice or a splash of water, but I might also be a bit of an oddball in some respects.

the only thing i like cold aside from beer is vodka. for some reason cold bourbon or any whisky that's cold tastes nasty to me, to the point it makes me gag. just something about the taste...yeah, i'm weird.

ditto on maker's mark...i just got my barrel certificate last week :cool: now i have to wait 5+ yrs to sample it.

Well, I really like my Wild Turkey straight, but I didn't really like Maker's Mark like that. Tastes a lot better on the rocks to me.

I only rarely indulge in the nice stuff though. There's a $20 bottle of Everclear in my freezer right now. :eek:
 
I generally like mine on some ice. Been Knob Creek lately, but lets face it, I'll drink anything.

I don't know, I started drinking it with ice and liked it from the beginning. I don't add water, but I let the ice melt for about ten minutes before I drink it.

I'll try it out with no ice next time..the only time I drink it room temperature is when I swig from the bottle if I feel a cold or allergy is coming on.

I'm not a Bourbon drinker myself. For me whiskey needs to be Irish and Catholic, no Prodie stuff like Bushmills. My go to is Jameson but Red Breast is good too. If I want something truly special there is nothing finer than Middleton, this is Jameson's apex whiskey. Regardless of what kind of whiskey it is its always drank the same way, neat. Just open the bottle and pour it into the glass and I'm a happy camper.
