As far as I'm concerned, if you're willing to eat mammals, you should pretty much be willing to eat mammals.
Reasonable exceptions include ones that don't have enough meat to make it worth it, like shrews, and ones that eat garbage, like coons and rats. Other than that, is there really much difference? :D
 
Agreed, meat is meat, pretty much. Muskrat is good food, just gotta be careful cooking it like any small game, keep it from getting tough and stringy. You want a big water rat, try Nutria some time, also pretty tasty done right.

You know what? You guys are right - meat is meat. But - it's pretty tough getting hold of a muskrat on the streets of downtown Toronto or Tampa. However, next time I am motoroing through TN, I'll give it a try. Who's offering?
 
and not a one of you commented on how much Muskrat tastes like chicken.... ?

Imagine if Tuna became extinct and we had to use muskrat in it's place.
