Minnesota doesn't have a blade length limit enumerated in law, nor any specific law regarding fixed blade knives.
While Section 609.02 contains a vague definition of dangerous weapon as "any device designed as a weapon and capable of producing death or great bodily harm," There is no actual law saying carrying a said dangerous weapon is illegal other than schools and courthouse (per Section 609.66)
Now, granted that cities have the right under how American law works to make their own restrictions beyond that of the state. Minneapolis for example allows folding knife under 4" long as exceptions to "weapons"(per Section 393.10).
