Mnandi EDC'ers opinions wanted do you EDC w/ or w/o the clip

I took the clip off. It is my "office edc" and I just put it inside the front pocket of my jeans. Taking the clip off makes it even more "imperceptable" inside the front pocket while sitting at my desk and does not provide any disadvantages while using the knife. If I want to carry the Mnandi inside a wider pocket, for instance wearing a coat, I am using the leather pouch. For me the clip is not necessary, although in terms of aesthetics one of the most beautiful clips in the industry.

Ordered some screws today to give it a shot clipless on my two. I just didn't like how the clip felt in hand when using. Strange, as the clip doesn't bother me on any other knives.

Got my clip screws today and definitely like them without. Allows me to fully enjoy both inlays. I may keep a clip on one of my mnandi just in case but going clipless for a while (in pouch or shirt pocket).

James et al., I have to agree the clip is absolutely lovely but I don't see myself using it.

I pinged CRK and hopefully they can ship out on Monday next week when they get back into the office. It's just the one screw they need to send me I take it?

You can order it directly from the site. They are $3 each plus $3 shipping. They shipped same day for me. A little pricey for just a screw and I didn't need the tracking option they sent it with but it's nice to have.

Thanks for the heads I've actually never noticed that section before, just ordered it!

Nice knife. I have a similar Snakewood w/Ladder that will be my primary office knife. I think the combination of inlay and damascus pattern goes well together.

Absolutely. For some wood inlays with less grain and structure the choice of the damascus pattern doesnt' really matter. For wood inlays with vertical grain, like snakewood, the vertical pattern of ladder matches pretty well.

I use a pouch and leave the clip on. With the pouch you could go either way.

Same here.

All my CRKs live in pouches, but only the Mnandi ever gets carried that way.
