Can anyone confirm for sure this is a cocobolo? It has no dob but i bought it anyways since i liked the redish color on the wood. The box says snakewood. I assume the wrong box was placed in it. Thanks BF community!

I played with it last Saturday when we met up.. I didn't wanna give it back to him... Lol
Yours has the small cracks in the wood too. ? Im confused?
I'm no expert, but I had a bloodwood Mnandi that looked just like the one in the OP. It was definitely dark enough to consider it more brown than red. I can't remember if it had the voids in the grain or not, but I guess that is a mute point after ice_man's photo. I'd love to see the clip side of this one.
It certainly doesn't look like snakewood to me.
Great now its a possibility that it is snakewood. Thanks LWI've lso seen a Snakewood that just had the streaks. I think when the OP turns it over we'll know more.
