I prefer to be called cautious rather than paranoid, but this thought occured to me.

I'm getting ready to send a small Money Order to a person in northern Ireland to purchase a knife.

Will I get put on a suspect list?

Doubt it. Unless the receiver is already in a suspect list & is being watched or if you put "GO BUY SOME ARMALITES & SEMTEX WITH THIS MONEY" on the envelope.

Sheesh.... Very few of the people in Northern Ireland are terrorists, and as far as I know the Provos do not raise funds by selling knives, but suppose for a moment the person you're buying from is selling knives on the net to fund terrorist operations, and law enforcement is investigating him ... if you were in charge of the investigation would you put everyone who buys a knife from him on a suspect list? If so what would you do with that list? (Let's try to refrain from scatological speculations....) :)

Hey Dave H, I just visited you web site, nice flashlights info! If the feds check your site, I am sure you will be in the clear.:)
Unless of course giving telemarketers the "smackdown" is terrorist activity:p

:)

Thanks for the input.

Cougar, If I where the government, I would put anyone sending money outside the US on SOME kind of list. Setting alarms for anything above a certain amount and or place. And for future cross referencing against other databases. :p

> telemarketer smackdown

Heh, I will say I haven't received a telemarketing call in quite a while. Maybe I'm on the secret "will sue in court" list. :D
