1830's Missouri War Hawk - The 19" hickory handle has a smoke tan buckskin beaded drop and grip. The bead work is again by my life partner Linda - who got through this even while fighting with some major back and arthritis problems. The handle is decorated with brass tacks, glass trade beads, and hawk bells.
The handforged, wrapped construction head is a product of Gib's forge - it is made of 1050 with a weeping heart cutout and grooved poll. The head is 6 3/4" long with a 3 3/4" wide cutting edge.
