Long awaited Monarchs from Knifemart. These are very heavy and very nice. The blade is ground and finished especially well. Very sharp. Brushed/satin finish on the SS handles. Reversible latch. Super thick blade. Tight lock-up open and closed. Can't beat it for the price. :D :D :D :D :D

Ghac! What's all that gawd-awful writing on the blade?! Beautiful knife, but who turned their kid sister loose with a magic marker?

Damn Edgefinder, how many did you get!?!?!?!?! :eek: Did you leave any for us less fortunate? ;) Nice set, can't wait to get mine. The Tachyon should be right around the corner, too! I didn't know it was December 25 already.................:cool:
 
Just 2. Looks like the writing on the blades can be rubbed off with simichrome. Looks like it is silk screened on.

Nice picture too....now I'm exicted to get mine :) ...I almost forgot about ordering the darn things, nice of you to post the picture of your set!

Yeah, they could have toned down the writing a bit. Can't wait for mine to arrive, though. :D
 
The writing says Monarch First Production. Maybe if I wait for the second production, the writing will disapear?
 
in spite of the ugly writing, at least it's a proof that he's got a nice example of the first production. and that may well be worth it...? at least if the writing disappears later.. :cool:
 
Boy, look at that sheath. That looks like serious leather. Nice.

You can see from this picture what I've been saying: Monarch is the Mac Truck of balisongs. Just look at that tang pin. We're talking industrial strength here. And those handles look like tree trunks. The word to describe this balisong is: strong.
 
Well i havnt been sure if i was going to get one, but now i'd say the answer is deffinately YES! thanks for the pics Edgefinder!
 
Now here's my kind of knife! Something that flips you. So... how does she handle?
