Moanarch has arrived!

I got mine on Thursday and it is a beast! The blade is great, but like the posts before the handles are lacking some finishing touches. Feeling like the knife was not up to its full potental I got ahold of Mer.Then I sent it off to get the handles sharp edges rounded and polished. I hope it turns out like I think it will

PS- Thanks for the fast replys Mer

Hello to all ,

I'm new to the balisong world , so i have a few questions . Where did you get the Monarch from ? Sounds like a great knife with just a few finish problems . I bought a few cheap knives to start swinging and now I want a better Bali . What would you folks rec. , I really like the BM Balisongs . Well , look forward to more post and apparently lots more bandaid usage . Later-------

No problem; if you have more questions, ask away. Folks here will be more than happy to help.

The Monarch (at http://www.knifemart.com ) is literally twice the weight of the new BM production series. The BM 42, 43, and 47 weigh 4.2 oz, the Monarch weighs 8.4 oz, it is really beefy, you might want to get something that'll strengthen your fingers so you don't hurt yourself flipping the Monarch. :) Carpal Tunnel Syndrome would suck!!

Chuck.., since I'm sure you have a few.., how about a review on what you think of the Monarch?? Thanks!

tonyccw, you said their will be new blade profiles (damascus, kriss?)
I may just think of putting away my Jag is i could get a decent/well priced damascus kriss.....
