Thanks for the quick reply. Over here in the islands, we are limited to Axis deer, Mouflon sheep, goats and wild boar. No "large game" here. I'm eyeing up that Micarta handled Pit Viper, but let me wait and see what you unveil later this week..... you've piqued my interest. Thanks again!

Hey 808bowman - Here is one of the other hunters that we discussed in the Pit Viper thread that you were waiting to see. This would be perfect for the game available to you there in Hawaii (or anywhere for that matter). :D

CJ,

Thanks very much for the heads up in the post. Again, another beautiful piece! Oh yeah,

"I'll take it!"

I'll email you with a couple of questions and my shipping info. Thanks!

You made a great choice. I think you're going to love owning and USING one of CJ's knives. He's been my apprentice for a while now and I can tell you *proudly* that you won't find a sharper knife anywhere. There are certainly other makers that have them as sharp but none are sharper or hold an edge better. This young man knows how to use a set of sharpening stones. And another thing about his pieces is that they are meant to be used. Yes, they are pretty but don't let a pretty face fool you - they get the job done. You can see CJ using one of his pieces on the big bull Elk he got this season at http://www.jarrettknives.com/givingback.htm

Anyway - congrats, take care and God Bless

Cj and Wayne,

As one of the instructors Wayne that you came to our Voc School and spend the time to show the Carpentry, Welding and Machine Tool class your bladesmith as a profession I can only say thank you. When CJ said to you I have a hand forge knife I made and I saw your eyes light-up, to think you may have someone you could pass down the skill to, that you have learn as a bladesmith. I can say I have seen you work with CJ and because of you taking him under your wing and teaching him a trade, Cj is able to become a knifesmith, with the whole world in front of him. CJ please take the skill Wayne has given you and alway make the very best knives you can, as you have. As a welding instructor there is nothing more satisfying as having a student push you to be better. I know as I do this everyday.

Tom

Thank you very much for the kind and reassuring words. I was referred to this forum by someone over at ArcheryTalk and have been nothing but impressed since I've joined. CJ's work caught my eye right off the bat and he's been very helpful as well with answering the questions of a noob. His work is outstanding and so is his customer service. I will be a proud owner and user of this knife and possibly others in the months to come. Thanks again!

Just wanted to bump this thread to the top and let everyone here know that I just received my knives from CJ and they are truly as fine as they look. Customer service was outstanding, communication was outstanding and what else can I say about the skill and craftsmanship? The Moccasin has some mass to it but is very well-balanced and fits very nicely in the hand. It is definitely a working knife and I intend to put it to good use in the coming months. The sheath is top quality leather and custom made to fit. The instructions on knife and leather care was a nice touch along with materials certifications and even a couple of Band-Aids. :D

High marks for this man and his work.... you can do no better IMO. :D

Thank you, CJ!
