Anyone have one of these? What do you think of them? Would you compare their quality to Microtech? They look tough (in the pictures).

Come on guys, throw me a bone here. I'm really thinking about getting one. Can anyone give me some first hand experience. I would really appreciate it!

Somewhere in the forum, I read that MOD products were OK, but not Microtech quality (could have been sour grapes, though). Still, both companies have had detractors and supporters.

I think they get more attention over in the automatic area.
 
Just held one today for the first time. Felt good. The lock is interesting. It lock almost like an automatic (push button). I was trying to work out a deal for it for my socfk, but the dude wasn't going for it. He wanted $135.00 cash, but I didn't have it. -Woulda been nice though.
 
I've heard good things about that particular model. I haven't held one personally. I don't think many can equal the Microtechs, but this one seems to be a solid piece.

Looks awesome. Does it only come as an automatic?

I don't know about current MOD quality, but back in the old days it was top notch. I would have compared it to Microtechs of similar price (give Microtech the edge, but same general area). But I haven't handled many MODs since BH bought them
 
I have an old Tempest PE. As fine a knife as my SOCOM. I don't say that lightly either. Don't know about the older ones. This Tempest is really very good. keepem sharp
