I has been thinking about it. And i think this is the easiest way to make the bk2 sheath works horizontally

All we need is :
-One bk 2 Sheath

-Black Cream for shoes

-One Screwdriver or Multitool

-Thick Leather

-10 minutes and one pen.

First of all we need to remove the screws

Then we mark with a pen or similar the 4 screw holes in the leather. And we Make a square with the leather piece.

Dye the leather with the shoes´ cream and put the screws

Now all you have to do is put your favorite belt through the sheath. And that´s all. Easy.

I hope you liked it. Thank you for looking and leave feedback (sorry for english mistakes )

Good work brother! ! That newer bk2 sheath is so badass, now they should redesign all the sheaths *cough* the 9 *cough* and mail em out.

Nice how to, laid out well and easy to follow. I look forward to all the How To threads and seeing things I may not have thought of or did not know how to do. Thanks...

Nice job.
Next, we need a video of you quick drawing in a bear encounter.
Be sure to wear elbow pads and eye protection! :p

Good idea and nicely done:thumbup:
Thanks for sharing.
Horizontal carry is by far my favorite way to carry a blade.

Very cool!!! I did a similar thing with my sheath but I have my handle hanging down. I'll post a pic if you want me to.

nice job :)

i've been pondering doing something like this, but using a synthetic material perhaps.

I was thinking the same thing. A peice of Kydex/Concealex would probably do nicely. The thing about the leather is I worry that it would eventually wear/tear around the screws.

But what the hell do I know? I've never done leather.

I apprieciate the horizontal ideas though. The first leather BK2 sheath I came across was the Hedgehog Leatherworks one. I said "Thats IT! Thats the one I'm getting!".....Then I saw the price. Jeezus!!

I've alse considered using a large Bladetech Tek Lok, Or using the leather IWB loops and stretching them out much the way the OP did with his leather somehow. Need to get some stuff to experiment with. The last thing I ever made a kydex sheath for was a Yurco Claw HAK. Much smaller than a BK2. But as for the Leather...I think that would be the only way to go for small of the back. I think it would be the only way that is comfortable.

I'm going to be getting the BK2 soon and might try this out.

How well does the sheath hold/retain the knife? Hate to reach down and feel an empty sheath.

I've yet to hear anyone allege that the BK2 sheath is at all loose. If anything, it's a bit tight. I can't see you losing your knife due to a sheath issue.

Good job, very clean, easy to do, and nice setup.

I've never been a fan of hori carry, I like mine sitting at 3 o'clock. But Scout carry is very popular, I make about 3 hori sheaths a month.

Thanks for sharing it with us, and good mod tutorial.

hey that idea can be exported to the bk11 and use it horizontal or vertical depending how you slip the belt

if you take the piece of leather of the same size of the sheath of the bk11 and make the holes to fit the ones on the sheath.
