I Never say never...
The advantage of leather is that it is pliable, not rigid .But surely that would be great with kydex!
Leather is less durable, but the black cream make ir turne harder
This sheath retains very well the knife. You can evn adjust it changing the screw´s position
In Spain, has become fashionable because of Bear Grylls hehe ( it´s a joke)
I am though enough, so i don´t need elbow pads xDNice job.
Next, we need a video of you quick drawing in a bear encounter.
Be sure to wear elbow pads and eye protection!![]()
Very cool!!! I did a similar thing with my sheath but I have my handle hanging down. I'll post a pic if you want me to.

nice job
i've been pondering doing something like this, but using a synthetic material perhaps.

I was thinking the same thing. A peice of Kydex/Concealex would probably do nicely. The thing about the leather is I worry that it would eventually wear/tear around the screws.
But what the hell do I know? I've never done leather.
I apprieciate the horizontal ideas though. The first leather BK2 sheath I came across was the Hedgehog Leatherworks one. I said "Thats IT! Thats the one I'm getting!".....Then I saw the price. Jeezus!!
I've alse considered using a large Bladetech Tek Lok, Or using the leather IWB loops and stretching them out much the way the OP did with his leather somehow. Need to get
some stuff to experiment with. The last thing I ever made a kydex sheath for was a Yurco Claw HAK. Much smaller than a BK2. But as for the Leather...I think that would be the only way to go for small of the back.
I think it would be the only way that is comfortable.

I'm going to be getting the BK2 soon and might try this out.
How well does the sheath hold/retain the knife? Hate to reach down and feel an empty sheath.

Good job, very clean, easy to do, and nice setup.
I've never been a fan of hori carry, I like mine sitting at 3 o'clock. But Scout carry is very popular, I make about 3 hori sheaths a month.
Thanks for sharing it with us, and good mod tutorial.
