MOD CQD Blade/Handle ratio

I can't decide if I should get the CQD or wait for the CQD MKII. I looked at the specs on the big CQD, is the handle really 2 in longer than the blade? If it is I would think the blade would almost look swallowed in comparison.

It would really effect my decision to buy if there is a huge handle a small tiny blade (in comparison)

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

The best way to look at this is to choose a knife with a handle that is secure and comfortable, and a blade that is the right size and shape for the job. Whatever the ratio of blade to handle, in a knife like that, is sure to be exactly right.

The handle is an inch longer than the blade. This is to make from for the line cutter in the handle. I really like the large size hande it makes for a secure grip even when I'm wearing gloves. I have used the line cutter quite a bit and would buy the larger one to get that feature.

On a related note. My wife was ordering a couple of CQDs and CQD Mark IIs for customers today. MOD asked her if she wanted to get the glass breaking stud on the large CQD instead of the webbing cutter. That was a new one to me. Has anyone seen or heard of a large CQD without the webbing cutter, but with the stud in its place? If so, how does that affect the size ratio (handle to blade) for you?

Just wondering. I guess I'll have to get her to order one to compare (maybe it could be my birthday present, I'd love to have one of each
