This is a follow-up to a post I made a few weeks ago.

I sent two "user" CQDs to MOD for repair. The large one had many scratches on the handle and clip, most of the screw heads were stripped out and there was significant blade play when open. The smaller one had a black blade and clip that were scratched; I wanted the black coating removed, and some grip panels replaced.

I sent both knives to MOD with a nominal fee (around $20 per); I just got the knives back and boy am I impressed! Both knives are now indistinguishable from new; they look so good, I'm not even sure that they are the same knives I sent in (and some of you, HarryM in particular, know how damn picky I am).

Both knives had work done that I did not request (or pay for). It appears that both knives were disassembled, cleaned and re-anodized. The blade that was stripped of its black coating is perfect, and the larger knife went in with a small ding on the blade which is now gone. MOD definitely went "above and beyond" on this one.

For those who may say that MOD should have done this work for free, I disagree as I am not the original owner of either knife. On top of that, there is another high-end folder company that, when they do bother to answer my e-mails, is usually to say "no, we don't do that".

MOD has in me a customer for life. Don't hesitate to pick up (and use hard) any of their offerings. :D

i have the same sentiments
i almost couldn't recognise my trident after it came back
absolutely flawless work, and all the trimmings replaced too~!

on the down side, they mixed up my shipping options and sent it to me through ups express which cost me and extra 27usd :(
