I had a MOD Scorpion neck knife that is probably even worse. I tried sharpening it and the factory angle was steeper than some huge cleavers I own.I bought a MOD CQB knife back around 2000 and it was probably the worst knife I ever owned.
The button lock on mine wouldn’t keep the knife locked. I sent it back and when they returned it, it looked like they dremel’d a notch in the button lock. And it still didn’t lock the blade back. I threw that knife in my junk drawer. Still have it in a box somewhere.I had a MOD Scorpion neck knife that is probably even worse. thank you very much. They were all made by Microtech in the Vero Beach days. Then Blackhawk bought the brand.
thank you to confirm it.Yup, I was actually talking with Michael Janich about the history of Masters of Defense this weekend at Blade...I had been unaware the it started as a partnership with Tony.
how can they sent it back to you, with the problem not solved? The button lock on mine wouldn’t keep the knife locked. i think pointman were the most popular one?and they are now in reasonable price second-hand.I always wanted Hornet. Looks like I dodged a bullet in not getting one.
Don’t know. I know it was a garbage knife though. One of the inserts in the handle started to peel and they didn’t even address that when the knife was in.how can they sent it back to you, with the problem not solved?
